District On The Green 2012 at AT&T National Golf Tournament
Last Sunday (instead of Saturday, due to that ferosh wind storm) I schweated it out while working the District On The Green viewing party in the club house of Congressional. Highlights
included: befriending security guards Paul and Paul (one a six-foot-five
white man, the other a five-foot-ten black man - both splendid
individuals); being misted by an evian water spray bottle 2 minutes away
from passing out; and covertly devouring raspberry macarons that I'm pretty sure were laced with an illicit substance. They were good. Too good.
But by far, the best moment of the day had to have been schlepping out of the event with two fellow internistas, crestfallen by the sight of massive lines awaiting the buses back to various parking lots, only to realize that the lot to which we were headed had its Own. Private. Shuttle. Suddenly, an SUV swooped in like a CHARIOT SENT FROM OLYMPUS! A glorious moment second only to the cold shower I took as soon as I got home.
